Jefferson State Lake gets Horseman’s Camp Hosts

   Jeff & Hope Williams and Tamara DuLaney will be Camp Hosts at State Lake this year.

  .  All day riders are to park and unload along the road from the entrance of horse camp up to the handicap ramp. There is a lot of room out by entrance that is flat. This is so that campers can have all the camp ground. It was noticed that last year day riders parked in odd positions and when campers came in it was hard for them to get a good spot. Then after they were all set up the day riders came in from riding and left. So please use common sense if you just come to day ride. Make it a little easier on the riders who come and stay a few days. We really hope that the park gets used a lot this year.

Trail Conditions

 We are in the process of getting the trails color coded. The State has provided white plastic pipe markers and we are using colored tape and paint dots on the trees.

. Pepper has done a fine job of keeping up on them. He has cut a few new ones around the upper campground but when ever possible please stay on our old trails around there to keep the new ones for walkers
